I wanted to call this the weekly digest but that was boring. Then I thought about naming this Gullah Goodness. When I was young, my grandma had a porch. It’s the place I would play at, greet people, at, drink sweet tea and gossip at, etc. So I want to introduce you to the Gullah Porch. The porch is the place where the stories start. This is a gathering to share news and stories that touch our culture. Every week I welcome you to the porch with a little wisdom, a small business shout-out of the week, an article I came across, and the Ask a Geechee Gal a question. I am always asked stuff and people like my …honest, sometimes harsh opinion so I thought I would answer some questions that people ask me all the time. (You can also send in your questions and remain anonymous.)
Let’s start with some wisdom….
All ya fingers ain’t equal. Embrace not just during Pride month but all the time. We are all unique and different…embrace diversity. We don’t have to like someone to respect someone, either.
Small Business Shout-out:
Brown Sugar Babe – Heard about them on a podcast and I have ordered a few bottles can’t wait to try them out.

I know a lot of black people go to this school but it would have been nicer if an HBCU had this.
Ask the Geechee Gal
Q: What do you think about Elon and Trump?
I call him Orange man but y’all can call him whatever you like. I think it’s funny but who are they trying to distract? We all knew this would happen so we saw it a mile away what I’m wondering is who will bring who down or is this a ploy to cover up what’s really going on.
Sound off in the comments! If you have a business you want to share or join in on the question of the week please use our comment section to come on the porch.
