Michelle Obama
Our favorite First Lady has a complex heritage, as noted in Rachel L. Swarns book, American Tapestry. While researchers, before the Obama Administration did a complete ancestry report, the documents remain, for the most part, sealed. However, Obama can trace her roots to a South Carolina plantation, thus there is some evidence of her having Gullah Geechee heritage. In Michelle’s book, Becoming, she has also said as much.
