Look I ain’t mad at RL. I may or may not have bought something from the collection. I’ve always been a RL girlie and I love how they spotlight us and it’s not being done in Feb. either.
Ask the Geechee Gal
Q: What are your thoughts on Katrina 20 years later?
I watched a newer documentary on Hulu the other night and I was repissed becuase there are things I didn’t know that I know now that came out in the documentary. The media lied about a lot and my first thought was wow very few white people at the Dome or stuck in houses, funny how they got out but that’s right, we’re poor we don’t always get the same opportunities. What hurt the most then and now is that we as a people are treated so unfairly and I hate that New Orleans lost some of it’s spunk. I think the levees weren’t made properly in the first place and no one fixed it or bothered to check on it and boom a disaster happened. Miscommunication was a huge part of the downfall, and that many people didn’t have to die.
