The Gullah Porch

Welcome to session 3 of the Gullah Porch. It’s a place where you are invited to sit, gather info, get a little tea, and more. If you are new here I explained the porch in our first post that you can find here. This week we have a young lady who they took, excuse me, they cut her open and took her baby without her consent, here in Georgia. They know they used her as a test subject because if it were a white person would they have done this? No…I’m sick of it, and I pray her family gets a lawyer involved. I don’t know what can be done since it’s in the state’s hands, but something needs to be done.

Q: How did you celebrate Juneteenth?

I had to work but my job is cool it’s just not a state or government job but they did highlight the day. I spent some time in my backyard putting my feet on the ground and being in the sun. It was a good day!
