Queen Quet Marquetta L. Goodwine is one of the top Geechee creators to follow as she has been doing this work diligently and wholeheartedly. Queen Quet was one of the first of seven inductees into the Gullah/Geechee Nation Hall of Fame and received the Anointed Spirit Award for her work for the culture. Known across social media for his catchphrase #weoutchea which he delivers in his to-the-point TikToks that often go viral. He is a Gullah/Geechee native speaker and an activist and artist. m’Cheax is an instructor of Gullah at Harvard University in their African Language Program. Ron and Natalie Daise
Celebrated Gullah/Geechee educators, Ron and Natalie Daise share their vast knowledge and experience and work hard to preserve their cultural heritage. Most well-known for their roles on the children’s show, Gullah Gullah Island, Ron and Natalie shared Geechee tradition, music, and language with the world.
